On one hand, Samsung is recalling its Galaxy Note 7 citing trouble in the battery, which is said to be catching fire. And on the other, the South Korean giant is gearing up for the launch of Galaxy J7 Prime.
The device has been in news since long, and it's after long speculations that we have heard some final announcement from Samsung. The device finally got launched on September 1, 2016 in Vietnam. It is to be noted that initially, Galaxy J7 Prime will be made available in Vietnam only. Release in other countries would happen next, but the date is still not disclosed.
Let us have a look at Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime, and see what features the device gets in for us.
Galaxy J7 Prime
As one can make out from the name, this device comes as the modified and advanced model of Samsung's earlier released Galaxy J7 2016 model. The device comes with metal covering on its back with an impressive 5.5-inch full super AMOLED display at the front along with a fingerprint sensor.
Talking about the other features, it has been revealed that J7 Prime is decked with 1.6GHz octa-core CPU, coupled by 3GB RAM with 32GB inbuilt storage. The device has 3,300mAh battery.
As for camera, it comes with 13MP primary camera which has f/1.9aperture, LED flash and for selfies; it has 5MP snapper with f/1.9 aperture. Currently being sold in Vietnam, Galaxy J7 is available for 6,290,000 VND (nearly $282/€253/Rs. 18,893). The device is said to be available in two color choices - Gold and Black.
Launch worldwide
For now, the device is limited to Vietnam market. But sources say that it will have its release in other countries too, including India.
The Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime will be released in India soon and will be promoted as the mid-range device. The demand for budget devices is rising in the country and we have immense choices to select from. Along with Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime, users will also be in treat for the Lenovo device, the Moto Z Play. It is launched by Motorola, which is currently owned by Lenovo. The Moto Z Play is also a mid-range device and with Galaxy J7 Prime joining the league, the two devices can be expected to have a tough fight in the market.
