Think of the old times when smartphone was a new sensation, there were limited options and the ones which were ruling the market surely had high price tag.
But over the recent years, the smartphone market has evolved amazingly. While on one hand we have growing number of smartphone users, on the other, smartphone makers have also multiplied by dozens. Every year we get introduced to a new brand and company, and seems like the choices are never going to end. So adding another option in the list is Axon 7 Mini from ZTE.
They revealed the device on September 1 during IFA. The device is priced EUR 300 (approximately Rs. 22,400), and is going to be available in Europe and Russia. Along with these countries, Axon 7 Mini will also be made available in India, Australia, Saudi Arabia and Japan, from September 7. For the US market, the price would be $400 (about Rs. 26,700). You have the option to choose from Gold and Grey colors.

Axon 7 Mini At A Glance
The Axon 7 mini is a dual SIM phone that runs Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. It comes with 5.2-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) Amoled display. It is notable that Axon 7 Mini is the successor of Axon 7 which was released in May2015 and had 5.5-inch QHD (1440x2560 pixels) Amoled display. Quite like its predecessor, Axon 7 Mini has audio-focus with dual front speaker and dual microphones. It has Dolby Atmos technology along with an out-and-out audio processor which provides 24-bit/192kHz audio, Hi-Fi audio and recording.
Quite similar to that of Axon 7, Axon 7 mini has aluminium unibody design, with fingerprint sensor on the back. Axon 7 mini has different models based on storage, so you'll have the 3GB RAM/ 32GB inbuilt storage model and 4GB RAM/ 64GB storage model. And both these variants will come powered by the Snapdragon 617 SoC four Cortex-A53 cores which is clocked at 1.2GHz and another four Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.5GHz.
As for camera, Axon 7 Mini has 16 MP primary camera that has f/1.9 aperture and PDAF, other than dual-LED flash. For selfie, it has 8 MP camera with f/2.2 aperture. The provided storage will be available for expansion up to 256GB using microSD card.
The connectivity options include ZTE Axon 7 mini inclusive of 4G LTE, Bluetooth v4.1, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, with a 3.5mm audio jack, and USB Type-C (v1.0) port. Axon 7 Mini comes powered by 2705mAh battery that measures 147.5x71x7.8mm, and is 153 grams in weight. Add on features include the accelerometer, digital compass, gyroscope as well as a proximity sensor.
On the whole, the device does appeal to be a striking one and we can surely expect it to impress the budget device lovers. But how exactly it will fare in the market is something we will have to wait and see, once the phone finally gets launched in the market.
