Over the couple of days, there were talks doing the rounds over Samsung's highly anticipated Galaxy Note 7. Reports had it that device users have reported certain issues with the battery following which Samsung had decided to recall the Note 7.
Buzz was rife that the battery of Note 7 was catching fire. With more and more similar reports dropping in, Samsung decided to act swiftly and take the matter in hand. Earlier there were just reports stating that Samsung may recall the device, but now the same is official as Samsung released a statement concerning Galaxy Note 7.
Now the buzz states that Samsung is recalling all its Galaxy Note7 devices distributed across the globe. The South Korean giant has also confirmed that it will issue replacements to the users as soon as possible. In the meantime, Note7 sales have been suspended in anticipation of the defective devices being reserved from the market and only the impervious Note7 units stay in circulation.
Head of Samsung's device business section, Koh Dong-jin, stated that 24 out of 1 million device are actually at risk. But the company doesn't wish to take any chances and this is the reason it has decided to revoke the devices and offer replacement to the current users of Galaxy Note 7.

Note 7 has 5.7-inch Super-AMOLED QHD (2560x1440p) screen with the brand name S-Pen stylus slot. It had a curved screen, with IP68 water-and-dust resistance certifications.
The device is backed by Qualcomm Snapdragon 823 with 256GB UFS 2.0 of storage. Note 7 have 12MP, F1.7 aperture, OIS with infrared autofocus.
Note 7 also features USB-C, backing USB Power Delivery 2.0, which allows for augmented power and faster charging.
As for battery, which is now the root cause of all troubles, Note 7 has 4,200mAh battery.
The phablet was launched with high expectations and it did have particular upgrades over the earlier devices, the Note 5 and Note 6. However, with this sudden change, the device has lost its credibility. While, Samsung has done a great thing by recalling the devices without wasting much time, but it's still doubtful if the device would enjoy the same attention, once it re launches itself.
