Just a day back we had informed you about the Sony Xperia XZ gearing up for its launch in the Indian smartphone market. And while it still has time to go, buzz has it that the device has been released in the US market.
It is notable that the all new Sony Xperia XZ sports a complete metal body along with the much adored waterproofing feature. However, it lacks the fingerprint sensor which is so common in most of the smartphones these days. The Xperia XZ was first unveiled by Sony at the recently held Internationale Funkausstellung 2016, IFA Berlin. Alongside the XZ, Sony had even launched its Xperia X Compact. The device was first released in China and few other regions. And now it's available in the US market.
The sale for Sony Xperia XZ will go life from October 2 in the US and it would be available from major online sites inclusive of Amazon, Best Buy and a few other associate retailers for a price of $699. The pre-orders would initiate soon which will make the purchase process quite simpler. And once the device goes on sale in the US, we will soon see it coming in Indian market too.

Things To Know About Xperia XZ
As reported earlier also, the Sony Xperia XZ comes sporting a 5.2-inch IPS LCD capacitive touch screen which has 1,080x1,920 pixels (424 ppi pixel density). The device measures 146x72x8.1 mm in dimension, and weighs 161g.
It comes backed by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor. Sony Xperia XZ runs Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS, which as per reports is upgradable to the latest Android 7.0 (Nougat).
Talking of the storage, Xperia XZ offers you a 32/64GB internal memory, which is further expandable up to 256GB through microSD card. It is complemented by 3GB RAM. If you talk of the camera, the device comes with 23MP main camera which high-end features including f/2.0 aperture, phase detection and laser autofocus, 24mm lens, LED flash plus 1/2.3" sensor size. As for selfie camera, it sports 13MP front-cam which has f/2.0 aperture, 22mm lens and 1/3" sensor size. The device comes powered by 2,900mAh battery.
At the connectivity front, Sony Xperia XZ extends support to Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Direct, DLNA, dual-band, hotspot, GLONASS/ BDS, Bluetooth v4.2, A-GPS, NFC, USB v2.0, and Type-C 1.0 reversible connector.
The release of Xperia XZ in India is yet to get a confirmed date; let us hope that it happens soon and we get to see the high-end device in the Indian market soon!
