There seems to be a tough race going on in the smartphone market - especially India. Given the fact that the Indian smartphone market has a huge demand for budget devices, most of the smartphone makers have been rolling out some amazingly priced flagships that are highly affordable and boast of some striking features as well.
The latest in the gang is the Panasonic's P77, which happens to be its newest ultra -reasonable smartphone. The all new P77 has come at a point where Lenovo owned Motorola is ruling the roost with its Moto E3 Power.
It is to note that Moto E Power, which has a powerful battery, is winning hearts all over and is high in demand. This is one device which is a potential threat to the newly launched P77. Panasonic launched the P77 on September 22 at a price of Rs. 6,990.
To understand if P77 can actually survive the competition, let us have a look at its features in detail.
All You Need To Know About P77
At such affordable price, the Panasonic P77 comes with 4G and VoLTE support. Moreover, it boasts of a pretty good built and design. The device comes with 5-inch HD display and has slim bezels. P77 comes backed by the 1GHz quad-core processor. For storage, it comes with a RAM of 1GB teamed with 8GB expandable storage.
If you talk of the camera feature, then the P77 features 8MP primary camera which has LED flash and for selfies, it has 2MP front camera. The device comes with 2,000mAh battery and it runs the Android 5.1 Lollipop out-of-the-box.
When compared to the arch rivals that fall in the same price bracket, the Panasonic P77 does fail to leave a mark.
Xiaomi Redmi 3S comes at a price of Rs 6,999 and gives you the similar 5-inch HD display as you saw in P77. However, in terms of other features, the Redmi 3S has an edge. The Xiaomi Redmi 3S comes with 1.4GHz octa-core Snapdragon 430 CPU. For storage, it has 2GB RAM and 16GB expandable storage which as you can see is just double of what P77 has to offer.
Moving on, in terms of battery, Redmi 3S sports 4,100mAh battery (again double of what P77 has). Now just this, the camera also excels in Redmi 3S. The device offers main camera of 13MP which even has LED flash and for selfies it brings in a 5MP front camera.
This was just about Xiaomi Remi 3S, P77 lags behind LYF Water 7 also which for a price of Rs 7,000 offers better features and functionality than the P77. And if you go a little higher and shell out Rs. 1000, you can get the Moto E3 Power, which has better battery, powerful camera hardware, quick battery charging, and resistance to water as well as dust.
The Panasonic P77 is for sure a decent device for the affordable price it comes at. But when looked from the perspective of money value, it does lag behind.
