Huawei seems to be going stronger with its recent flagships and is gaining a strong momentum in UK. Its P9 is already popular in Britain, but it seems like Huawei is craving for more.
At the reently held IFA 2016 in Berlin, Huawei is said to have launched phones targeting the mid-range market, Huawei Nova and Huawei Nova Plus. So, let us have a look here at the Huawei Nova & Plus and see what features it is coming decked with.
Price & Availability
Both Huawei Nova and Nova Plus are said to be mid-range smartphones. In UK, you can buy the Huawei Nova for 429 Euros and the device will be accessible to buy in over 50 countries from October, though a date is however to be put.
Design
Huawei Nova Plus is the bigger version to the Huawei Nova but they share similar design pattern. The Huawei Nova Plus comes with 2.5D glass and has a metal curved unibody. The Nova has P9-esque black section having camera at the back. In case of Nova Plus has an all-metal back with a sticking out camera in the centre. Huawei Nova Plus sports 5.5in display, and has small bezels which offer comfy holding know-how.
Features & Specifications
Huawei Nova Plus has larger IPS display as compared to Huawei Nova at 5.5in, but the resolution is similar with 1080x1920 (full HD). The display is amazingly bright, snappish and vivacious which makes it comfortable for your eyes. Moreover, it has Snapdragon 625 processor along with RAM of 3GB and 32GB storage, which can be further expanded via Hybrid SIM tray.
Performance wise, the device does a great job and doesn't cause any lag. But one can feel that the processor could have been upgraded in the Plus variant considering the price it's charging. Rest all features are decent and do a great job.
Camera
Nova Plus comes with primary camera of 16MP with features like Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS), which has been placed for sharper picture clicks and smoother videos. You will find the camera quite remarkable and amazing to use. For selfies, the device will have 8Mp front camera. The selfie snapper is pretty good and takes decent pictures under low light conditions.
Software
Huawei Nova Plus runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow with Huawei's own Emotion UI that offers Huawei's own turn on the Android software. It might even get the Android Nougat update.
Verdict
Huawei Nova Plus is a decent device with bright and vibrant display. The design is also appreciable and the operating system is cool. Soon it can even get the latest Android Nougot update too. The camera quality is also amazing as it offers decent images under low light conditions.
It's indeed a good buy and we would wait for more details to surface to know if the device is worth investing!
