The latest device to get an upgrade is the OnePlus 2 from Chinese smartphone maker OnePlus. Sources say that OnePlus has improved the OS for the new device, and has started helming out the novel OxygenOS update.
It is notable that OnePlus 2 was released in the year 2014 and it's nearly after a gap of two years that the device is getting this major update.
If you thought that OxygenOS 3.1.0 depends on the latest Android Nougot, then let us tell you that it's not the case. The novel OxygenOS 3.1.0 has no connections with the latest Android Nougat. It is an augmented update which brings onboard August security scrap, fixes notification malfunction, enhances the battery life and even renders some bug fixes. This will indeed be a great relief for the OnePlus 2 smartphone users, who so far had faced these problems which OnePlus has now fixed with the new OS. Sources say that the new updated OS has been unveiled via OTA (Over-The-Air).
How You Can Install The OTA Update?
To update the OTA, on your Android device, you will have to follow the given instructions and steps:
1. To start off, first you will have to go to setting from your home screen
2. Next you have to scroll down to "System," and come to About device section
3. Now select the option “Download updates manually”
4. Select OK and then tap to Start
6. Once you tap on Start, you will get “restart message”, select OK
Sources state that OTA update is happening in phases, because of which it will take some time to reach across the world and be available in every country.
If you want to install this update manually, you will have to go to Settings, then click the About Phone and select System update.
