Every day we have a new smartphone is offing and each promises to be better than the previous one. With this, smartphone makers also are vying to seize the top spot; especially in a growing market like India. Chinese smartphone maker, Xiaomi is busy expanding its range ad by the looks of it, we can say that it's not going to cease so soon.
It's just a few days since Xiaomi launched its Redmi Note 4 (August release), and now news has it that the company is gearing to roll out Xiaomi Redmi 4. It is expected to take over budget smartphones with its set of imposing specifications. It has come as a pleasing surprise as earlier there was no major hint over Redmi 4. But with new reports, we have got to know of the device and the features it is expected to sport. Going as per the images that have surfaced online, Redmi 4 sports a metal unibody look.
Features To Expect
As one can see, Redmi 4 is most likely to have the same look and feel like its predecessors with some major changes. It has a back fingerprint scanner placed under camera module which is packed in a metal body. The device has edge-to-edge display which gives users a wide viewing space. There are home, back and menu buttons placed as Capacitive touch under the display.
The device has 5-inch Full HD display with 1080x1920 pixel resolution screen and is said to have octa-core MediaTek Helio P10 processor, along with 2GB RAM and 16GB storage. It is expected to run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow-based MIUI 8 UI. As for camera, Redmi 4 will have 13MP main camera backed by LED flash and for selfies, it has 5MP camera.
To support all its features, the device will be featuring a bug battery of 4,000mAH. As for connectivity, Redmi 4 will support LTE bands, 4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and normal connectivity options.
The Launch
Earlier, it was reported that Xiaomi would release Redmi 4 together with Redmi Note 4, but the same didn't really happen. It is still not clear as to when will Xiaomi take the final call on the release of Redmi 4.
While on one hand we stand absolutely clueless about the release date of Redmi 4, it has been heard that Xiaomi is simultaneously working on Mi Note 2 which will have some high-end features.
Mi Note 2 is said to get launched as Pro model, to beat the likes of premium models available in the market. If you talk of the features, it has been learnt that Mi Note 2 and the Mi Note 2 Pro will most likely come with dual-edged display, fingerprint scanner, USB Type-C port, and dual 16MP camera backed by 4-axis OIS as well as dual tone LED flash. They are supposed to get launched either by September end or early days of October.
Things can only get clear once Xiaomi gives an official statement about the same. Until then, all we can do it wait for the updates!
