We had earlier updated you that Xiaomi was rumored to be working on a premium device, and it has been months that Xiaomi started working on this project.
However, despite revealing so many details about the rumored device, Xiaomi kept away from talking about the release of the phone. And now reports state that the upcoming device is going to be the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 and it is all geared up for the release. There was a leaked image seen on one of Chine's social networking site, the Weibo which featured this rumored Xiaomi Mi Note 2. The image even showed that Mi Note 2 has been cleared by Chinese CCC (China Compulsory Certification) authority. This apparently makes us believe on the rumors making rounds.
The Release
Reports suggest that Mi Note will most probably make an entry officially on September 14, however, it is yet to bag the certification from TENAA prior to its sale in China.
This news has sent a rave amongst the Mi enthusiasts and they are eager to lay hands on the features of this premium device by Xiaomi. Reports also added that Xiaomi will be bringing in two models of the Mi Note 2: the Mi Note 2 and the Mi Note 2 Pro. These variants will majorly differ in terms of CPU, storage as well as the RAM.
Mi Note 2 series is supposed to boast of some first-class specs, such as the USB Type-C port, fingerprints scanner, a dual 16MP primary camera backed by 4 axis OIS, with dual LED flash along with 4,000mAh battery. Talking of the processor, the device will sport Snapdragon 820 chipset which will have 4GB RAM and 32GB of storage.
The Mi Note 2 Pro, as the name suggests, is the higher version of the two devices and it is believed to be getting a posh appeal. The device will feature the high-end Snapdragon 821 CPU, and for storage it will have 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. Sources also reveal that these imminent handsets are also anticipated to have a dual-edge display akin to the Samsung Galaxy S7 series, which will surely give the additional push to its competition in the souk.
This move from the end of Xiaomi doesn't really come as a surprise as last year, the Chinese company had released Mi Note and Mi Note Pro, and these new models apparently appear to their successors but with higher upgrades.
