Samsung All Geared For Its A - Series 2017 Models!

The South Korean smartphone giant - Samsung is heard to be working on its three highly popular devices from the A series - the Galaxy A3, Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A7.

It is notable that these devices were released in December 2015. And now, the company is working on their 2017 versions. Reports suggest that Samsung will soon launch Galaxy A3 (2017), Galaxy A5 (2017) and Galaxy A7 (2017). Though Samsung has not revealed the release date, but one can expect the smartphones to release sometime in December as was the case with the predecessors.

So far, it has been heard that 2017 variations of the handsets are spotting the code name SM-A320F for Galaxy A3 2017, SM-A520F for Galaxy A5 2017 and SM-A720F for Galaxy A7 2017. Smartphone with code name as SM-A520F (Galaxy A5 2017) was spotted on Zauba, a website known to track imports and exports in India.

Though the nothing much is known about these devices, however, sources are of the view that these upgraded versions will surely have high-end features and more changes.

Let us here have a look at the previous models and see what features they came with, to see what we can expect from the new versions.

Samsung Galaxy A3 (2016)

This device of Samsung came with 4.7-inch Super-AMOLED capacitive touch screen with 720 x 1280 pixels (312 ppi pixel density). It had Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor, and ran the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system. It had 16GB internal memory which was expandable up to 128GB through microSD card along with 1.5GB RAM. The device has 13MP primary camera, and 5MP front-camera for selfies. It came with non-removable Li-Ion 2,300mAh battery.

Samsung Galaxy A5 (2016)

This was highly popular of the two and came with 5.2-inch Super-AMOLED capacitive touch screen with 1080 x 1920 pixels (424 ppi pixel density). It was powered by octa-core processor, and ran Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system. For storage, it had 16GB internal storage which was expandable up to 128GB through microSD card, along with 2GB RAM. It sported 13MP rear camera backed by f/1.9 and OIS, a selfie camera of 5MP. The device had non-removable Li-Ion 2,900mAh battery.

Samsung Galaxy A7 (2016)

The superior one of the trio, Galaxy A7 (2016) had 5.5-inch full HD super AMOLED display backed by 1,080x1,920 pixels (401 ppi pixel density). The device was powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor, and ran Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system. It had 16GB internal memory which was expandable up to 256GB, and had 3GB RAM. The smartphone had 13MP rear camera which had f/1.9 aperture, LED flash, and OIS (Optical Image Stabilisation). For selfies, it had 5MP front-snapper with f/1.9 aperture along with 3,300mAh and had fast charging ability.

The 2016 versions surely had some high-end features, and now we really hope that the 2017 variants would bring in some noticeable upgrades rather than making minimal changes here and there.

Things are yet to be officially announced, but we are sure we’ll continue getting more updates about the devices!
