The first half of year 2016 saw many budget friendly and high-end devices that have left everyone so impressed. There is an array of smartphones available currently where each company is offering some attractive features.
And if we have to pick one such company that has launched the maximum numbers of smartphones in the very first half of 2016 - it's none other than the South Korean mobile giant. Samsung has released many flagships in the first half of this year. The flagships like Galaxy S7 and S7 edge have succeeded in winning all hearts. And after stealing the show with S7 and S7 edge, the company's latest offering – Galaxy Note 7 is bagging all attention.
The list of smartphones released by Samsung, comes with a mixed range. It has premium devices as well as the budget friendly devices too.
If we look at the track, Samsung has so far in the first half launched nearly a dozen budget and mid-range devices which include Galaxy J1 (2016), Galaxy J3 (2016), Galaxy J5 (2016), Galaxy J7 (2016), Galaxy A9 (2016), and Galaxy A9 Pro (2016). The newest entrants in this list happen to be Galaxy C5 and the Galaxy C7, which were released earlier this year.
Galaxy S7 and S edge, which are the premium devices were announced during the Mobile World Congress in February, and the two smartphones were finally released in March. Both these high-end devices share similar features and specifications, apart from the fact that S7 comes with 5.1-inch QHD super AMOLED screen with 2,560x1,440 pixels (577 ppi pixel density), whereas S7 edge has 5.5-inch QHD super AMOLED display with 2,560x1,440 pixels (534 ppi pixel density).

As we said, S7 and S7 edge share similar features except for the screen and the difference can be seen above. Moving on, both these devices are power driven by Exynos 8890/Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor and run Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The devices are decked with 32GB/64GB internal memory which is further expandable up to 200GB through microSD card and 4GB RAM. As for camera, the devices sport 12MP main camera with f/1.7 aperture, along with smart OIS (Optical Image Stabilisation), and for selfies they have 5MP front-snapper with F/1.7 aperture, and a 3,000mAh battery with Fast Charging technology.
The New Series
It's not just S series that has made Samsung score an edge over the others, Samsung has even released a few more high-end devices which include Galaxy A9 (2016) and Galaxy A9 Pro (2016). In the mid range department, it has Galaxy J5 (2016) and Galaxy J7 (2016) and for budget devices, it has brought Galaxy J1 (2016) and Galaxy J3 (2016).
Next happen to be the C series under which Samsung has launched Galaxy C5 and Galaxy C7. Currently these two devices have released only in China. Release in international market is still not known but it has been reported that the two devices would release in the international market too.
For the uninitiated, Galaxy C5 is priced at 2199 Yuan (approximately $335 / Rs. 22,500) for its 32GB variant, and 64GB model costs 2399 Yuan (approximately $365 / Rs. 24,500). It sorts 5.2-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display with 1,920×1,080 pixels. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor, and runs Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. The device is packed with 32/64GB internal storage further expandable up to 128GB via microSD card, and a 4GB RAM. C5 has 16MP main camera with f/1.9 aperture, and 8MP selfie-snapper with f/1.9 aperture, and a 2,600mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 technology.
Galaxy C7 is available for 2599 Yuan (roughly $396 / Rs. 26,600) for its 32GB model, and 64GB model costs 2799 Yuan (just about $427 / Rs. 28,600). The device sports 5.7-inch full HD super AMOLED screen with 1,920x1,080 pixels. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor and runs Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. The device sports 32/64GB internal storage that is expandable up to 128GB via microSD card, and a 4GB RAM. It has 16MP primary camera with f/1.9 aperture, an 8MP selfie camera with f/1.9 aperture, and a 3,300mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 technology.
So far, all of Samsung's devices have made it big and we really hope that the upcoming ones will also be a hit!
