After its Mi Note, Xiaomi is supposedly working on a novel phablet known as the Mi Note 2, and it is anticipated to release in 2016's third quarter or by year end.
Mi Note 2 is coming as the successor of Mi Note that was launched in January 2015. The former is projected to sport a screen smaller than the soon to come Mi Max. as per the latest updates, Mi Note 2 will have three models and one of them will sport 6GB RAM.
As of now, Xiaomi is tight-lipped about the new device but sources say that Mi Note 2 will come with a 5.7-inch Full HD screen, and its top model is likely to have a 2K dual curved display along with a Force Touch support.
Sources also claimed that 32GB internal storage and 4GB RAM model will be made available at a price tag of 2,499 Yuan (just about $376), whereas the 64GB internal memory and 6GB RAM model will cost 2,999 Yuan (approximately $451), and 128GB internal storage and 6GB RAM model with curved display will be made available at 3,499 Yuan (nearly $526).
Expected Specifications Of Mi Note 2
Speculations further state that base model of Mi Note 2 will sport a single camera on the back, Hi-Fi audio, and battery with quick charge technology. As for its standard model, the device will have Hi-Fi audio, dual camera, and quick battery charge feature. The curved screen model will come with dual cameras, Hi-Fi Lite, and fast charging technology.
Moreover, 32GB storage model will have a 16MP main camera, and the upper two models will have dual 12MP main cameras. The devices are estimated to be power-driven by any of a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 or Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor. They will have 4,000mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0, and will also support fingerprint scanner, NFC, infrared, and Hi-Fi audio.
The Difference From Mi Note
As we said, Mi Note 2 is the successor of Mi Note and there's bound to be a comparison of the two high-end devices. For those unaware, Xiaomi Mi Note was released earlier last year with a 5.7-inch IPS LCD capacitive touch screen with 1,080x1,920 pixels (386 ppi pixel density), a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, and Android 4.4.4 KitKat, a 16/64GB internal memory, and a 3GB RAM. It also features a 13MP main camera with f/2.0 aperture, OIS, autofocus and dual-LED (dual tone) flash, a 4MP front-snapper with f/2.0 aperture, and a 3,000mAh battery.
This device has turned to be a hit among the Indian masses and has so far sold around 600,000 units in the country. Available at Rs. 9,999, it has 5.5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with 1,080x1,920 pixels (403 ppi pixel density). At storage front, the device has 16GB internal storage and 2GB RAM model.
The other variant is priced Rs. 11,999 and has 32GB internal storage and 3GB RAM. Both the variants have a metal body and run Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 processor. It works on the MIUI 7.0 based Android 5.0.2 Lollipop. It has 16MP central camera with f/2.0 aperture and for selfie it has a 5MP front camera with f/2.0. The battery is non-removable and is sized 4,000mAh battery.
