Budhia Singh - Born To Run All Set For An August Release!
Making films inspired by real life heroes has always enticed our Bollywood filmmakers. And this is something which even helps us to know about some of the unsung heroes of the country.
One such film is Budhia Singh – Born To Run - which is an upcoming 2016 Indian biographical sports film directed by Soumendra Padhi. The film is based on Budhia Singh, named as world's youngest marathon runner. The film trails Budhia's journey from being a small boy to a great runner at such a young age.
Budhia was born in 2002 in Odisha. His father departed while he was very young and owing to poverty, his mother had sold him to a traveling salesman for ₹800 in 2004. Due to ill-treatment subsequently, his mother sought after out Biranchi Das, a local judo coach and orphanage operator, and asked him to take the boy on.
Biranchi paid salesman his money back and Budhia then lived with Biranchi Das and other orphans under Biranchi's charge, at the local Judo Hall. Reports say that one fine day; Biranchi had caught Budhiya him being a "saucy boy". As a punishment, he made the young boy run, but forgot about the same and when Biranchi returned after five hours Budhia was still running. Post medical checkups his heart was found to be normal even after hours of running. He then started to train Budhia to run marathons. By the age of four, Budhia had run and completed 48 marathons.

Plot
The film as we said is a biography Budhia Awooga Singh born in the year 2002 in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. He ran from Bhubaneswar to Puri merely at the age of four and covered 65 kilometres (40 mi) in seven hours and two minutes. He was listed as the world's youngest marathon runner in the Limca book of records in the year 2006. Budhia Singh – Born To Run highlights his journey and trails what all accounted in the period.
Star Cast
The film has child actor Mayur Patole playing the title role of Budhia Singh whereas we've talented actor Manoj Bajpayee essaying the role of his coach.
Production
Budhia Singh - Born to run is said to have been earlier titled as Duronto, but the title was changed to current later on. The film is directed by Soumendra Padhi who is said to have auditioned more than 1200 kids for the lead role from major states including Orissa, Chhattisgarh, Pune, Delhi and Mumbai, and finally Mayur was finalized for the role. The film has already won the National Film Award for Best Children's Film in 2016.
Film's music has been given by Sidhant Mathur and Ishaan Chhabra while the cinematography is credited to Manoj Kumar Khatoi.
