Growing demand for budget smartphones has made India the most liked and vouched for market for smartphone makers around the globe.
And this demand has increased the competition among budget devices taking them to an all new level. Each device offers something unique and attractive that too at a price which is simply commendable.
Companies such as Xiaomi, Meizu, LeEco, Micromax and YU have completely taken over the market with plenty of choices offered at affordable prices. Some admired choices in this category include top guns such as Xiaomi Redmi Note 3, LeEco Le 2, Meizu M3 Note, Moto G4 Plus, YU Yunicorn and Lenovo ZUK Z1.
While these smartphones are rising to power, another smartphone maker Oppo has come up with its latest A37 smartphone to take benefit of all the rage demand. Oppo A37 is available at Rs. 11,990, thus making it in line with other premium smartphones.
Let us compare the A37 smartphone with Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 to see how it fares in terms of features and specifications.
Design and display
Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 sports metallic finish unibody design. Its speakers are located at the rear of the device along with fingerprint sensor as well as primary camera. It comes with a 5.5-inch Full HD display with 178-degree viewing angle, Sunlight display tech as well as special night mode.
Oppo A37 has the ultra slim body measuring 7.7mm and weighing 136 grams, that gives comfortable grip. As for display, it features 5-inch display with HD IPS screen, a 2.5D curved glass and Corning Gorilla Glass 4. Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 leads in resolution while Oppo A37 offers better design.

Oppo A37 surely leads here but Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 also is not a let-down in terms of camera. It comes with 16 MP main camera with PDAF, dual ISP, dual-tone LED flash and HDR and a 5MP front-camera which has 36 smart beauty profiles.
Performance
Coming to performance of each device, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 comes powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 CPU, and has 3GB RAM and 32GB storage. Oppo A37 on the other hand is powered by 1.5GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6750, 2GB RAM and is backed with 16GB onboard storage with microSD card support up to 128GB. Both devices run Android 5.1 Lollipop OS, however Redmi Note 3 features MIUI 7 and A37 has Oppo's proprietary ColorOS 3.0 on top. Redmi Note 3 handles multiple tasks better than A37.
Battery and add-ons
Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 rules in this department also as it come with a bigger 4,050mAh battery, which as per company claims can last for 14 hours with GPS navigation. Oppo's A37 is backed with a 2,630mAh battery. It’s not clear if it comes with fast charging technology, but if it does then Oppo A37 can take an edge over the rivals.
Verdict
So far, as we saw from the specifications, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 certainly rules over Oppo smartphone with extra features like fingerprint scanner. Other than that, Oppo A37 has all necessary features like dual SIM card support, NFC, 4G LTE support Wi-Fi and microUSB.
