After the successful conclusion of Summer/Resort 2016, Lakme Fashion Week, jointly organized by Lakme, the No.1 cosmetics and beauty services brand in India and IMG Reliance Pvt. Ltd., leaders in sports, fashion and entertainment marketing and management, have announced that the Lakme Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2016 is scheduled to take place from 24th - 28th August, 2016 at The St. Regis, Mumbai.
While Lakme Fashion Week is well recognized to be a platform for talent through its Gen Next initiative to encourage young designers, it is also a body that has successfully curated large scale shows at off sites with leading designers - such as Manish Malhotra and Rohit Bal, the previous season. Sticking by its Indian roots, the previous season witnessed designer's showcase their collections on Sustainable Fashion and Textiles on Indian Textile Day.
Known for bringing global trends in the industry, a Berlin based pret-a-porter fashion house – ElektroCouture & Friends and global fashion influencers - Fern Mallis and Renzo Rosso were present at the previous fashion week.
As a pioneering fashion promoter, Lakme Fashion Week strives to continue its contribution to the business of fashion in India. With several new innovations and collaborations this season, Lakme Fashion Week looks forward to a bigger, better and more sensational Winter/Festive 2016.
