Chinese smartphone maker LeEco, which earlier was known as LeTV, is busy rolling out some interesting flagships.
The company had recently unveiled its fresh series of 'Superphones' - Le 2 and Le Max 2. The two devices were launched in China sometime back and now LeEco has confirmed that they will go for flash sales in India from next week. The company announced about LeEco Le 2, Le Max 2 registrations window being open in India ahead of first flash saleLeEco India (@LeEcoIndia) via Twitter. Registrations opened on June 20, 2016.
The registrations window will supposedly be open till June 28, 11:00 a.m. for Le 2 and 1:00 p.m. for Le Max 2.
For the uninitiated, Le 2 is the smaller of the two and is available for a price of Rs. 11,999 whereas its larger counterpart is priced Rs. 22,999. Its price even includes free entertainment content of Rs 4,990 for a year.
From the price, it's clear that Le 2 is the standard budget model while Le Max 2 is a more superior variant. Let us dwell deep into the two smartphones and understand them in detail.

LeEco Le 2 and Le Max 2 would be made available on Flipkart under flash sales and LeEco's official e-commerce site LeMall.

To begin with, Le 2 and Le Max 2 hold the major highlight in the form of ditching the typical analog 3.5 mm audio jack for USB Type-C audio connector. Both the LeEco smartphones have been backed by company's proprietary solution known as the Continual Digital Lossless Audio or CDLA. The technology fundamentally lets new phones to hold up lossless audio playback through attuned headsets. If you choose to buy these smartphones then you'll have to purchase the CDLA headphones separately for a sum of Rs 1,990. Well, this doesn't mean you can't use your regular headphones, reports state that Le 2 and Le Max 2 will come with an adapter to help connect regular headphones.
Le Max 2 Details
Moving on, Le Max 2 - heir to Le Max sports a magnificent 5.7-inch QHD screen with Super Retina display and is backed by Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor. For storage purpose, it has 64GB memory supported by a gigantic 6 gigs of RAM. The device will be seen with a 21MP main camera which has f/2.0 aperture, phase detection autofocus and optical image stabilization. For selfies, the device is backed by 8MP front camera. Given the high pixels, one can surely expect the Le Max 2 camera to cater a great show in terms of picture quality.
It's a dual SIM device and will run Android 6.0 Marshmallow-based EUI 5.5. At the connectivity front, the device will support 4G LTE and would also have Qualcomm's ultrasonic fingerprint sensor technology. It has a 3,100mAh battery decked with the latest fast charging technology.
Le 2
Next we've the Le 2 which is the heir of LeEco's admired budget device Le 1S. The Le 2 sports a 5.5-inch FullHD display. It is backed by octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor. For storage purpose, it has 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal memory.
The device will run Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Coming to camera, Le 2 is said to sport 16MP primary camera which is to be backed by features like PDAF plus dual LED flash. For selfies, the device has 8MP front camera. Le 2 has 3,000mAh battery and it also supports quick charging like it counterpart.
Both the devices have high-end functionality and the USP of Type-C audio connector. It would be interesting to see how they'll fare in the market.
