Hrithik Roshan on June 20, released the trailer of his upcoming historical drama, "Mohenjo Daro" through his twitter profile. He tweeted, "Welcome to the medieval world of Mohenjo Daro."
This film is considered really crucial for the actor, as this is Hrithik's first film after 2014 film 'Bang Bang.' Also the director of the movie is Ashutosh Gowariker, who's last movie, "khele hum jee jaan se," was poorly received by the audience.
Hrithik's attire in the trailer, does remind of Aamir Khan's character in the movie 'Lagaan', which was also directed by Ashutosh Gowarikar.
In the trailer, Hrithik's character is shown to be based in some other location, but he constantly keeps on having this reckless urge to visit the place called 'Mohenjo Daro,' as he often feels a certain familiar connection with the place. Though his character looks like a commoner, he falls in love with a princess-like girl belonging to the elite class and they share a kiss. This character is played by debutant actress Pooja Hegde.
The trailer clearly portrays Hrithik as some strong warrior, indulged in some intense action sequences. The action sequence is shown to perform with knives, swords and other suvh tools, with Hrithik facing giant men, crocodiles, horses and floods.
As every story is supposed to have some villains, Characters played by Arunoday Singh and Kabir Bedi brings out the grey side of the story.
The trailer did get a mixed response though. It did become a part of some nasty twitter trolls while some appreciated it.
Some even called it as a mashup of the movie, 'Baahubali.' One of the postsers that had the actress in it also got ridiculed for having blamed to copy the classic Cannes pose of Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie.
Looks like Harappan women perfected that Cannes pose before Angelina Jolie did. #MohenjoDaro #Bollywood #Lol pic.twitter.com/W1A1IeUgfY
