Check the features, design, display and specification of OnePlus 3, which Makes An Impressive First Impression
The much talked about OnePlus 3 was released earlier this week. Ever since the announcement, OnePlus3 had been in news and many of its specifications and details like price etc were leaked online far ahead of the release.
This apparently had made people think of OnePlus 3 losing on its surprise element but the smarptphone certainly proved everyone wrong.
As seen from the first look of it, OnePlus 3 is by far the most impressive devices to have been launched under Rs. 30,000. It has stunning design, amazing features and a budget friendly price too. It's simply a customer's desire.
Though we're yet to explore its features in detail but words are out about its first look too. Let us here take a look at them.
Design
The device has metal unibody with its rear panel a little curved to offer a relaxed grip. OnePlus 3 measures 7.35mm thick and weighs 158 grams. Its rear panel appears flat and gets slimmer towards ides, thus making its side panel exceptionally slim. Rear camera, LED flash and OnePlus logo are all arranged in a vertical line. It has two horizontally-placed antenna lines at top and bottom of rear panel, as is seen in Apple iPhone 6s series.
It also comes with USB Type-C port, stereo speakers and 3.5mm headphone jack at the bottom with two noticeable screws at both ends. Screws do not look peculiar at all as they compliment the design.
On the front, the device has clear black display with very slim bezels with fingerprint sensor placed at Home button.
Display
It comes with 5.5-inch Full HD Optic AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 4. Though the company doesn't use higher resolution screen, it claimed that 1080p is more optimized for regular use as compared to a 2K. This in fact consumes less power as contrast to 2K and causes not as much of strain on eyes. Its colours are lively and true to life. The display is brighter than normal and you can choose for night mode to lessen strain on eyes.
Camera
Camera interface is kept simple with capture button at the bottom. You can switch between diverse modes by swiping up or down on the UI. To turn on HDR, HD and flash, the options are given at the top right. You can activate selfie camera by tapping icon next to capture button at bottom.
OnePlus 3 comes with 16MP primary camera backed by Sony IMX 298 sensor, f/2.0 aperture, 1.12 µm lens, OIS (Optical Image Stabilization), EIS (Electronic Image Stabilisation),PDAF (Phase Detection Auto Focus), 4K video recording and also has an 8MP front snapper with same aperture.
Fingerprint scanner
OnePlus 3 has the fingerprint button at home button. When you set up the device, it requires to setup fingerprint lock and users can add up to 5 prints. Device can be unlocked by placing finger on home button and it doesn't cause any lag.
Software and UI
OnePlus 3 runs Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow-based OxygenOS 3.1 and it is very stable as well as bug free. As from the looks and specifications, it's clear that the software offers decent results. OnePlus 3 UI is quite instinctive and receptive. Its vertical drawer menu makes room for all apps. However, it does not have the option to change background for its main menu. You can only make a choice amidst dark or light themes, which would apply black or white backgrounds as per possibility.
The first impression as we said has really been good and now it's to be seen how the device would actually fare!
Stay tuned to this space to get more updates on the same!
