The Chinese networking giant – Huawei has now launched the Honor 5A with an aim to make it big in the budget smartphone. It is notable that there were many speculations going on about the smartphone release and now it has finally hit the floors.
Honor 5A launch has come right after few weeks post Chinese telecom equipment certification authority TENAA declared the device okay to go. The all new Honor 5A has come as the successor of Huawei Honor 4A released in July 2015.

Model Availability
It seems that smartphone makers are cashing on the storage and design feature a lot these days this is why we keep coming across devices with distinct variants based on their storage, RAM or design. Following the league, the all new Huawei Honor 5A is also to sport two models. The standard model as per the reports will be made available for a price of 699 Yuan (approximately Rs. 7,100), and another edition priced at 799 Yuan (approximately Rs. 8,100) definite to China Telecom, Unicom and other networks.
Specs & Features
Moving on to the other vital features the device will have, it’s stated that Honor 5A comes with 5.5-inch HD IPS display with 720x1,280 pixels (267 ppi pixel density). It measures 154.3×77.1×8.45mm in dimension and weighs 168 g. The smartphone comes powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor clocked at 1.2GHz. It runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow on top of Emotion UI 4.1.
At the storage front, Huawei Honor 5A is packed with a 16GB internal memory which is expandable up to 128Gb through microSD card. It has 2GB RAM, a 13MP main camera with LED flash, and for selfies it comes with 8MP front camera which has 4P lens. The device has 3,100mAh removable battery.
Talking of mobile connectivity, Honor 5A supports 4G, 3G, Bluetooth, WiFi, GPRS, GPS and Glonass. Reports state that Honor 5A will go on sale from June 17 onwards and will initially be sold in China only. The release in Indian and other international markets will take some time as Huawei hasn’t set out any word regarding the same.
