Just a day before we updated you about LeEco launching its novel Le 2 smartphone in India on June 8, 2016 making it compete against renowned brands such as Xiaomi Redmi Note 3, Huawei Honor 5X and Lenovo K4 Note.
The UPS of Le 2 is the pioneering USB Type-C audio port, which has Continual Digital Lossless Audio (CDLA) standard for uncompressed audio. The device is available at a price of Rs. 11,999 which has made it to pitch against Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 as it is also priced same like Le 2. It is notable that Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 has user friendly features which are being liked by both users and critics.

Design
LeEco Le 2 is a lot like its predecessor, Le 1s. It comes with a metal unibody, glassy display at edges, flat metal chassis, chamfered edges and one single port for charger and headphones. On the other hand, Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 sports a metallic finish and a unibody design. Its speakers are at back whereas in Le 2 the speakers are placed at the bottom. Fingerprint sensor in both devices is placed at the back, under camera sensor.
Display
In terms of display, the two devices share the same size and even resolution. Le 2 and Redmi Note 3 have 5.5-inch Full HD display however, Redmi Note 3 has 178-degree viewing angle along with Sunlight display tech and even a special night mode, which is something you’ll not find in Le 2.
Camera
LeEco Le 2 comes with 16 MP main camera with dual LED flash, f/2.0 aperture and PDAF. For selfies, it has 8MP front camera. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 sports a 16 MP primary camera with PDAF, dual ISP, dual-tone LED flash and HDR. For selfies, it has 5MP front-snapper that has 36 smart beauty profiles. For now we can’t say which of the two cameras will perform better as Le 2’s review is impending.
Processor, RAM and Storage
LeEco Le 2 is backed by Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 octa-core processor which is clocked at 1.8GHz. It has 3GB RAM and 32GB eMMC5.1. Meanwhile, Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 has Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 CPU. For storage it has 3GB RAM and 32GB storage. As one can see, Le 2 comes with the latest processor as compared to Redmi Note 3.
Battery
Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 wins clearly in this section as it sports 4,050mAh battery which as per the claims lasts for nearly 14 hours with GPS navigation. The LeEco Le 2 comes with a 3,000mAh battery backed by superfast charging technology.
Software
Moving on, next comes the software where both Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 and LeEco Le 2 run Android operating system but with different UIs. Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 uses MIUI 7 on top of Android 5.1 Lollipop, whereas Le 2 has latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow based eUI 5.8.
Additional Features
If you talk of add-on, both the smartphones have fingerprint scanner, 4G LTE support and dual SIM. The major difference is brought in by Le 2 which sports a 3.5mm headphone jack and has a USB Type-C audio port that promises enhanced sound quality.
