And this is precisely because they want to enjoy a strong foothold in the growing and price-sensitive Indian market. Currently, we've loads of smartphones in the market which not just are tagged for affordable prices but have some striking and amazing features onboard.
With the latest competitors on the chart being Moto G4 Plus and Samsung Galaxy J7 (2016), we've a lot to look for.
As you know, Moto G4 Plus is available in two models based on the RAM size. Its 32GB storage and 3GB RAM model comes at a price of Rs. 14,999, whereas Samsung Galaxy J7 (2016) is priced Rs. 15,990. The two are currently accessible in India, so let us here find out which is a better device to opt for:
Display
In terms of display, the two devices - Moto G4 Plus and the Galaxy J7 (2016) score uniformly as both of them come with a 5.5-inch display that is backed by 1,080x1,920 pixels (401 ppi pixel density). So you can see there's not much of difference in regards to the screen and pixel densities which makes it apparent that the picture quality won't differ much.
Design

The Moto G4 Plus is backed by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor, whereas Samsung Galaxy J7 (2016) has an Exynos 1.6Ghz octa-core processor.
Operating system
Moto G4 Plus runs Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. Galaxy J7 (2016) devices which released in the U.S. and a some parts of South Korea run Android 6.0 Marshmallow, but devices that released in China run Android 5.1 Lollipop.
Storage
Moto G4 Plus sports a 32GB internal storage which can be further expandable up to 128GB through microSD card and a 3GB RAM. The Galaxy J7 (2016) has 16GB internal storage that is expandable up to 128GB through microSD card and 3GB RAM.
Camera
The Galaxy J7 (2016) comes with a 13MP main camera backed by f/1.9 aperture, 28mm, autofocus and LED flash. For selfies it has 5MP front-camera with f/1.9 aperture. On the other hand the Moto G4 Plus sports a 16MP camera with OmniVision Pure Cel Plus sensor, PDAF (Phase Detection Auto Focus) and dual-LED flash, and for selfies it has 5MP camera that has wide-angle lens.
Battery
The Galaxy J7 (2016) sports a 3,300mAh battery whereas the Moto G4 Plus comes with a 3,000mAh battery with Turbo charger.
Conclusion
We did point out initially that these devices land with the same score in every feature aspect. Galaxy J7 (2016) stands higher in terms of design (metal body) and battery, however, Moto G4 Plus sounds to be a more amazing package with a better camera, storage as well as the quick battery-charging technology. And even in terms of price, Moto G4 Plus is cheaper than that of Galaxy J7 (2016) by nearly Rs. 1,000.
