Looks like Apple is game for some major change with its range of elite devices. As per the latest buzz in the market, Apple is thinking of discarding its generations-old 16GB storage model that was seen so far in most of its iPhones.
Reports state that Apple will introduce 32GB storage in its upcoming iPhone 7 series. This has certainly taken all by surprise as so far the 16GB was a kind of staple with all Apple iPhones. However, the thing would soon see a major change with iPhone 7 sporting 32GB storage and 2GB RAM. This was brought into limelight by IHS Technology on May 31, 2016.
It is to be note that IHS Technology has an honest trail of accurateness in regards to all the speculations made around the Apple products. In the year 2015, the IHS Technology had predicted that Apple is working on a 4-inch iPhone. Needless to say this prediction stood true with Apple launching iPhone SE in 2016. Apple at present offers 16GB, 64GB and 128GB storage choices, but going by the newest development in terms of storage, we can expect the line to change as 32GB, 128GB and 256GB storage.
From the recent few years we’ve been hearing about Apple planning to upgrade its iPhones and this decision surely favors the plans.
In the past also, iPhone users have cribbed over inadequate space on device, particularly when an OTA update requires the users to have minimum storage available or with the new iPhones supporting 4K video recording capabilities.
However, the most recent information regarding iPhone 7's RAM configuration is a tad astonishing. With 2GB RAM, it would be similar as the iPhone 6s, while some gossips have extensively suggested that Apple is likely to include 3GB RAM in its upcoming iPhones.
What the reports have to say?
While the IHS analyst talk of the RAM size, it is still not clear whether the 2GB RAM would be limited to 4.7-inch iPhone or it would be available in the 5.5-inch model too.
But it is pretty clear that iPhone 7 Plus is anticipated to be a quality device with prominent upgrades put side by side to iPhone 7. Ming-Chi Kuo, KGI Security analyst had recommended that 5.5-inch iPhone 7 Plus would come with 3GB RAM and additional processing power would be necessary for its dual camera setup.
The all new iPhone are supposed to hit the market sometime in September this year and while the launch still has time, the internet is flooding with speculations and reports about how the new devices would look and work.
If we are to consider any of the speculated rumors that have surfaced so far then the new iPhones are likely to come with a wireless charging support, a well-built design that would stand resistant to dust and water, it will even have a 3.5mm jack-less design, possess the all-new A10 chipset, improved camera, high quality speakers and battery.
Let us see how far these predictions would stand true!
