The latest to be a part of this bandwagon is the Aqua Secure from Intex. The device was unveiled by Intex on May 20 and is among the smartphones available under Rs. 10,000. As the name hints, this new device from Intex is more targeted at the security of the device. It lays more emphasis on users’ data as stored in the device by introducing the biometric authentication feature –certainly a first of its kind features as seen in the Intex devices.
The Smartphone at a Glance
Aqua Secure is going to be available in two color variants: grey and gold. The device has been priced Rs. 6,499 and has fingerprint scanner at the back along with a USB Type-C port, which perhaps makes it the cheapest device to sport two quality smartphone features at this price.
Moreover, the reports state that Intex Aqua Secure will support 4G LTE, VoLTE with HD voice calling. It comes with dual SIM slots, which we know has nowadays become a norm for all the smartphones in the market. The 4G LTE and VoLTE support have become a common trait with most of the smartphones.
Other Expected Features
Talking about the other features as sported by the device, news has it that the all new Intex Aqua Secure certainly hasn’t got something very different or unique to offer. The device sports a 4.5-inch FWVGA display backed by 480x854 pixel resolution. If you talk of processor, then it has 1GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6735M processor.
Coming to camera, the Aqua Secure has 5MP main camera with dual LED flash and 2MP front camera. At the storage front, it is backed by 1GB RAM and an 8GB internal memory which can be expanded up to 32GB.
Next, in terms of battery, Aqua Secure comes with a 1,900mAh battery and runs Android 5.1 Lollipop. The device can easily support 21 regional languages and also has the MediaTek-exclusive HotKnot feature, which NFC helps in sharing files and photos. This new device from Intex can be brought from the stores as well as online.
The Big Word
At the launch, Sanjay Kumar Kalirona, mobile business head at Intex Technologies said that Intex Aqua Secure carry forwards the trend as set by the current range of smartphones and this is the reason it has adapted to the latest and in demand 4G connectivity, high resolution displays as well as powerful RAMs. He even added that while Aqua Secure shares the similar features like many of the brand sin market, it has made it a point to enable the 4G device with superior security mark such as finger print sensor and VoLTE.
The device promises to offer users highly developed technology know-how at a very cutthroat price. But how well it fares in the long run is something we’ll have to wait and see!
