Samsung Galaxy C5 & Galaxy C7: Here's What You Need To Know

Samsung is on a run - after launching the 2016 edition of its J series, thee smartphone maker is now set with two other devices, the Galaxy C5 and Galaxy C7.

It is to note that Samsung has launched the new C series and the smartphones as mentioned above are going to be the pioneering handsets in the lot. As expected, the devices would first get unveiled in China and the launch is most likely to happen on May 26. Though we don’t have much detail about the two as of now as Samsung is all tight lipped about the same but the few leaked images that surfaced recently did give out quite a few specifications.

Both the devices have been approved by Chinese telecommunication authority TENAA. As for the specifications, Galaxy C5 is supposed to have the following features:

The Samsung Galaxy C5 leaked images that surfaced online had the model number as SM-C5000. From the images it is clear that Galaxy C5 will be seen sporting a 5.2 inch screen. So far it is designed exclusively for China, but we expect it to have a global release as well.

Moving on, it is further revealed that Samsung Galaxy C5 will be backed by octa-core processor and it will have two models, one with 1.5GHz and the other with 1.2GHz.

In terms of storage, the device is said to have 4GB RAM and 32GB/64GB internal memory. It is still not clear if it will have expandable storage.

Moreover, in terms of camera, the Samsung Galaxy C5 will sport a 16MP primary unit and 8MP front camera. It will be powered by a 2,600mAh battery and may come with the quick charging feature. The device is said to be weighing 153g and measures 145.9 × 72 × 6.7mm. As for software, it runs the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow and would be available in gold color as well apart from the regular shades Samsung devices are generally available in. And lastly, it will come at a price tag of 1,599 Yuan (approximately $246 / Rs. 16300).

Galaxy C7 At A Glance

The Samsung Galaxy C7 is seen under the model number as SM – C7000. The device as seen in the images online sports a 5.5 – inch Full HD capacitive touch screen display with screen resolutions of 1920 x 1080 pixels. It has the dual SIM service from Samsung which allows it to connect with 4G LTE.

Furthermore, it comes powered by Octa – Core 1.5 GHz Cortex – A53  processor which is driven by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chipset coupled by Adreno 506 GPU. The new Samsung Galaxy C5 comes pre-equipped with the most recent and best ever Android v6.0.1 – Marshmallow OS.

With these amazing features, it proves you necessary functionalities like This EDGE, GPRS, GPS with A – GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth and USB. In terms of color variations, Samsung Galaxy C7 is going to be available in three distinct colors: Gold, White and Black colors. In terms of battery, the device will have 3250 mAh of Li – Ion removable battery.

At storage front, the device is packed with 4 GB RAM and 16 GB and 32 GB of two dissimilar variants of internal memory. Both variants will have card slot that would allow expanding the internal storage up to 128 GB. The Galaxy C7 works on three carriers; GSM (2G), HSPA (3G) and LTE (4G).

Enhancing your camera experience, this new device comes with 16 MP of primary camera which has 4128 x 3096 pixels of camera resolutions and is backed by LED Flash for improved picture quality even in low light. For selfies, it has 5 MP of front shooter with LED Flash. Both of its cameras can record HD videos with clarity.

Coming to the price, Samsung Galaxy C7 is going to be available at a price tag of 1,799 Yuan (roughly $276 / Rs. 18400).
