The battle amidst smartphones has become a norm of sorts these days - courtesy their similar price range and features.
Next in the battle lineup happens to be two smartphones which have edge screen - Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge and Vivo Xplay 5 Elite. It is to note that Samsung Galaxy S-series has so far enjoyed the top slot and this new model happens to be the South Korean giant's 7th edition. Having said that, the Vivo Xplay 5 Elite is no less than its competitors as both share many features in common.
But there's always a best buy and after going though details, you'll get to know which one of the two is indeed the more efficient one.

It comes with a 5.5-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED capacitive curved edge touch screen with 1440 x 2560 pixels or ~534 ppi pixel density. The Vivo Xplay 5 Elite enjoys a 5.43-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED capacitive touch screen with 1440 x 2560 pixels or ~541 ppi pixel density and has dual-edge screen. Next is the camera, while S7 has 12MP dual-pixel rear camera with f/1.7, 26mm decked with features like phase detection autofocus, OIS and LED flash, the Xplay 5 Elite has 16MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and similar features of phase detection autofocus and dual-LED (dual tone) flash.

Other Features

The Verdict
The S7 Edge has almost everything you would look for in a smartphone but 5MP selfie camera is something which takes away the show. But then, if you look at the other features it offers, this is something which is easily avoidable.
As for Vivo Xplay 5 Elite, it surely has attractive features but it can't really compete with the former and that is one thing which makes us pick S7 over it.
S7 Edge was released in March this year and is available in variants of in Gold Platinum, Silver Titanium and Black Onyx. Meanwhile, the Vivo Xplay 5 Elite is available in Silver, Gold and Rose Gold. S7 costs ~$799 USD while the latter will be available for approximately $659.
