Samsung is all set for the big launch of its Galaxy J7 (2016) in India today. It is noteworthy that the smartphone had already released in China a month back. However, the Korean smartphone giant didn't give any info on when the device would be launched in India.
But now that we have the answer, it's really going to be interesting to see how the super new model from Samsung is going to fair.
For the uninitiated, Samsung had last year launched two devices under its J series: J5 & J7. The J7 got released in June while J5 was out in July. Now this year, both the series are making an upgraded comeback. Both J5 (2016) and J7 (2016) would release today. Galaxy J7 (KRW 363, 000) would be available at a price of Rs 21,000 – let us look at some of the features the phone will have in offing.
Look & Feel
Galaxy J7 (2016) will have a metal frame with 5.5-inch full HD Super AMOLED touch screen powered by 1,080x1,920 pixels (401 ppi pixel density). It will measure 151.7x76x7.8 mm in height and weigh around 170 g. Backed by 1.6GHz octa-core processor, the new Samsung Galaxy J7 (2016) would run on Android 5.1 Lollipop.
The model is going to be available in four prime color variants: White, Black, Gold and the classy Rose Gold
Battery
It will have a removable battery of 3300 mAh battery that is said to offer a talk time of Up to 23 h (3G). if you're a music lover and want this phone for solely music purpose, let us tell you that it will offer music play up to 96h.
Memory
As for the memory – Samsung Galaxy J7 is backed by 16GB internal memory that can be easily expanded up to 128GB via microSD card. The device comes with 2GB RAM.
Camera
Coming to the much liked and desired feature in smartphones – Galaxy J7 has 13MP rear camera with f/1.9 aperture, 28mm, autofocus and LED flash. For selfies, it has a 5MP front-camera with f/1.9 aperture and LED flash.
Other features
The device also has sensors which include Accelerometer and proximity. The connectivity options in it call for dual SIM card slots, NFC, 4G LTE, VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS.
Both Samsung J5 (2016) and J7 (2016) have more or less the same features but J7 is touted as the larger of the two because it has a bigger display. Other than the screen size, the devices have all features same.
It is believed that once the launch gets over, Samsung Galaxy J5 and J7 would be available for purchase on one of India's leading e-commerce site – Flipkart. Hinting at the launch of the device they had earlier sent out a tweet stating “The most exciting launch of the season is coming to Flipkart! Stay tuned.” This tweet is enough to understand that Samsung would make the availability of the two devices exclusive on Flipkart.
