PM Modi’s decision responsible for 100 deaths: Mamata

The announcement by the Prime Minister of demonetisation of old Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes on November 8 and new currency was introduced of Rs 500 and Rs 2000 notes in the country. After this decision, the implementation of new currency was not proper due to which many people lost their lives. On this issue Mamata Banerjee targeted PM Modi and showed a list of people who had reportedly died because of this decision.

 The West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee targeted the Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the reported deaths of 100 people across the country following the demonetisaiton move.

 Mamata Banerjee targeted Modi and tweeted, “How many more every day Modi babu.”

 The Trinamool Congress Chief Banerjee alluded towards a list, which contains names of 100 people who had reportedly died while standing in bank or ATM queues or committed suicide following the demonetisation. The list was tweeted by the TMC leader Derek O’Brien.

 Over the demonetisation decision of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Mamata has been on the warpath with him. Due to demonetisation, people of the country suffered and are suffering from severe cash crunch.

 Earlier, Mamata also expressed concern over alleged political discrimination among states, she wrote a letter to RBI Governor Urjit Patel to know “the nature of allocation of new currency” to each state.
