After the announcement of demonetisation by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the opposition members were continuously hitting over him and accused him to be involved in corruption. The Opposition strongly protested against the government’s decision of demonetisation and called it the ‘biggest scam’ of the year. Rahul Gandhi alleged today that Modi also personally involved in corruption.

The Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was himself involved in graft. He also said that he wanted to reveal it in Parliament but was prevented by the ruling majority from speaking there.

Congress leader said, "I have personal information regarding corruption involving the Prime Minister. If I will speak, his balloon will burst. He is scared. Modi is personally terrified with the information I have." He then added, "It is personal corruption of the Prime Minister. Thus, they (the government) are not allowing me to speak in Parliament,"

After the adjournment of the Lok Sabha, while interacting with media the Congress leader accused Modi. The senior leaders of other opposition parties were also present after the house was adjourned/

The opposition members created ruckus over the demonetisation issue and raised Rijiju’s controversy in the house due to which the Speaker Sumitra Mahajan adjourned the house.

Earlier, the former Finance Minister P. Chidambaram also termed demonetisation as the ‘biggest scam of the year.’ Chidambaram also demanded for probe. He blamed Modi’s government that cashless economy issue is just taken to justify the demonetisation move.
