After the announcement of demonetisation of old notes of Rs 500 and Rs 1000, the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, was earlier called as ‘dictator’ by the Chief Minister of Bengal Mamata Banerjee and now Congress Vice-President called him ‘king’ who only knows how to speak and not to listen.
Rahul Gandhi said the chaotic conditions post-demonetisation would not end within 50 days and attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi saying that he was behaving like a ‘king’ who only knows how to speak and not listen.
While interacting with media, Rahul Gandhi attacked the government over its November 8 demonetisation and said, “This condition won't improve in 50 days and the country will feel its pinch for years.”
Hitting out at Modi, Rahul said, “I am not being allowed to speak in Parliament. If I am allowed, then I shall explain what was the planning and what was the motive behind demonetisation.”
Rahul Gandhi compared the Prime Minister with a ‘king’ and said that he does not allow anyone to speak.”
The Congress leader blamed Modi about the adjournments of Lok Sabha proceedings and said, “Our Prime Minister doesn't want to listen to anyone, he doesn't want to allow anyone to speak. He behaves like a king who only knows to speak.”
Rahul said that the opposition wanted Modi to speak in Parliament over demonetisation and hitting out at Modi he said why he is not coming for debate.
He said, “We want him to speak in the Lok Sabha and also allow the Opposition to speak. If he does this, then everything shall be proved.”
Earlier, the former Finance Minister P. Chidambaran in Nagpur termed demonetisation as the biggest scam in the history of India and demanded an investigation.
He also said that the government should have consulted their own former Finance Minister Yashwant Sinha before implementing the decision.
The opposition members wanted debate over the issue and demanded Prime Minister to come into the Parliament and discuss with them. Due to protest held by the Opposition Lok Sabha is facing continuous ruckus and continuously adjournment.
