We had updated you earlier about how Huawei has been gearing up to release its latest flagship - the Honor 8 in the Indian smartphone market.
There were reports of the device being launched in Goa on September 28. It was stated that Chinese smartphone maker Huawei was keen to launch it in a grand event. And after the launch, the device was to be prepared for a grand release in the country.
Despite the launch, it was expected that the release would take a lot of time given the numerous smartphone devices being released altogether. The Honor 8 first got released in home country China, and it happened in the start of 2016.
For the Indian release, it has been altered a bit so that it can give tough competition to other mid-range Chinese devices which are ruling the roost at present.
Honor 8 Launch Date
The highly awaited Honor 8 has finally got a launch date in the country. Sources have reported that it will release far ahead of date actually planned. Buzz suggests that Honor 8 is to release on October 12, and it seems that Huwaei is also keen on making the most of the festive season.
Honor 8’s most stunning and striking part is its dual 12MP main cameras. With Huwaei announcing the release, it is now easier for the loyal buyers to prepare for the purchase.
It is to note that Honor 8 in China was launched in three models; one model has 3GB+32GB priced at ¥1,999, other has 4GB+32GB available for ¥2,299; and the third model comes with 4GB+64GB and priced at ¥2,499.
Intrestingly, Huwaei has still not given out the Indian price bracket, but it is expected to be somewhere between Rs. 20,000 to Rs. 25,000. And at this price range, it is sure to compete against the likes of other Chinese smartphones like LeEco Le Max 2, OnePlus 3, and the Xiaomi Mi 5.
What You Should Know About The Honor 8?
As we have updated you already, the device comes up in three different models; and each model will be available with some unique and some common features – the storage capacity being one of them.
Apart from the known difference in storage, the device shares some stirring features. It is said to be decked with 5.2-inch Full HD display complimented with 2.5D curved glass. Another USP of the device is its primary camera which boasts of 12MP sensor. The camera is laced with other features too all-encompassing of Laser autofocus, dual-LED flash, and f/2.2 aperture. For the selfie lovers, Honor 8 brings you an 8MP front camera which comes with f/2.4 aperture.
Talking of the device processor, the Honor 8 is clocked at 64-bit 2.3GHz octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 950 processor and also has the Mali T880 MP4 GPU. It houses a 3,000mAh battery and runs the Android 6.0 Marshmallow base Emoticon EMUI 4.1.
Honor 8 happens to be a dual SIM devcie which also provides resilient storage up to 128GB through microSD card slot. In terms of connectivity, Honor 8 gives support to 4G LTE support, USB Type-C port plus it even comes with a fingerprint scanner placed at the back.
The stage is all set for the device and we can surely expect it to come around October 12.
