Google had won hearts when it had made the announcement that India will be one among the chosen countries to get Google's latest smartphones - the Google Pixel and Pixel XL.
And a week within the announcement, the Google Pixel and Pixel XL made up for pre-orders on the major online site in the country including Flipkart and other retail chains like Reliance Digital, and Chroma. There was lot of excitement among the users for the Pixel duos and all were eagerly waiting to know the release date.
Well, seems like the wait has got over as Google has declared that the Pixel and Pixel XL would begin shipping in India on October 25.
Google India confirmed the news by tweeting, "The future is exciting. And by future we mean 3 days from now. #Pixel will start reaching stores on 25th October #madebygoogle".
The Big Move
For the uninitiated, Google had launched the new devices - Pixel and Pixel XL at a great event where it launched some other important gadgets too. The event was held on October 4, and during the launch, Google cleared that India will join the six countries to receive its latest smartphones. The other countries are: UK, Australia, US, Canada and Germany. However, while we will have both the Pixel devices releasing in the market, we won't get to see its Really Blue Pixel model. India will witness the shipping of Quite Black and Very Silver.
Pixel XL At A Glance
As the name suggests, the Pixel XL is indeed the larger variant among the two. It comes with AMOLED display which is housed in a Samsung made display. Not just this, Samsung has even given UFS 2.0 internal flash storage RAM in the device. Coming to the touchscreen controller as seen in the Pixel XL, it hails from Synaptics (ClearPad S3708). The battery has HTC mark.
Not many will know that HTC happens to be the marketable manufacturer of both Pixel and Pixel XL, which is quite similar the way Apple iPhones are manufactured commercially by Foxconn.
Pixel's 32GB model will be available for Rs. 57,000 and 32GB version of Pixel XL will cost Rs. 67,000. Pixel's 128GB model will cost you Rs. 66,000 in Pixel XL, the 128GB variant comes for Rs. 76,000.

If you talk of the features boasted by the two devices, let us tell you that Google Pixel and Pixel XL happen to be the foremost Android 7.1-featuring devices, and they are nearly the same.
However, the display is apparently different in both; the Pixel has 5-inch full-HD display whereas in Pixel XL you get 5.5-inch QHD display. Coming to the battery, Pixel houses a 2770mAh battery, and the Pixel XL comes with 3450mAh battery. The Pixel device has Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor, paired by 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM. It also has Pixel Imprint fingerprint sensor, with main camera of 12.3 MP which has Sony IMX378 sensor, and for selfies it has 8MP camera at front which has Sony IMX179 sensor.
