Mumbai, January 13th, 2016: Actress Sonam Kapoor plays the role of Neerja Bhanot in the soon to be released biopic. The actress will be attending the Neerja Bhanot Award ceremony to be held in today Chandigarh.
She will be accompanied by director Ram Madhvani and producer Atul Kasbekar. The Neerja Bhanot Award ceremony is held in honour of the braveheart Neerja every year.
Indian women who have dedicated themselves to fight social injustice are felicitated by an award of recognition granted by The Neerja Bhanot Pan Am Trust in India every year.
The award ceremony carries a cash prize of `1.5 lakh, a citation and a trophy.
Neerja starring Sonam Kapoor is slated to release on February 19th, 2016.
