Delhi Cabinet has approved the implementation of free 'Home to Hospital Care' emergency medical response ambulance service to the people of Delhi through Centralised Accident and Trauma Services (CATS), the CATS and WIPRO Ltd today signed the MOU at Delhi Secretariat for setting up of State of Art modern control room at Laxmi Nagar in trans Yamuna area in Delhi.
The MOU was signed by Shri R. K. Dabral of CATS and Shri Manish Kumar of WIPRO Ltd., the Head of looking after Central Government. The work of the setting of the control room will start in the next week of this month. According to the decision, it has been said that procurement of 110 (100BLS and 10ALS) new ambulances, setting up of Modern Control Room, outsourcing of Operation and Maintenance of CATS ambulance service.
The project mentioned regarding an agreement was signed between for the infrastructure, features and functional outputs envisaged in the proposed modern control room are as per the best international practices.
This new control room will be the most advanced in India, capable to meet the present and future requirements in terms of hardware infrastructure, software application, etc.
The scope of work under the project includes civil & electrical work at identified site, setting up of Data Centre, Control Room cum Call Centre, backup control room, development of software application for all activities envisaged in the project, maintenance of hardware and infrastructure and onsite technical support for six years after Go-live.
