Mumbai, 28 August, 2015: “Blurred Lines” is what Vasundhara Mantri called her collection at Lakme Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2015 She called her collection “Polaris” where the dispersion of light into different rainbow colours through a prism created a beautiful effect. Using her inspiration creatively, Urvashi Joneja presented a colourful line at Lakme Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2015. The colours of the rainbow wafted down the ramp for superbly crafted garments. The linear prints upped the style quotient and the multi layers gave the collection a very feminine vibe.
Using embroidery imaginatively, Urvashi textured the garments with it to project the theme in its entire stylish mode. Opening with a white midi shirt and a black cutwork corded cape, the show progressed to a black Polaris-inspired coloured jumpsuit and short white coat. Asymmetric tunics had interesting black prints, while a short bolero with cutwork looked great with a black pleated pant.
A sharply cut orange/black silk ombre jacket and trouser, black gown with vertical stripes and the peplum will-power black gown made ideal formal wear. Ending the show were two very arresting creations – a one side cascading black jacket and the black/gold gown with a Polaris inspired print.
When a woman wants to add an innovative form of colour into her wardrobe, then “Polaris” by Urvashi Joneja will fit the need.
