Adjudged the Best Drama film of the year Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika Padukone win top acting honours
Mumbai, December 14, 2015: MSM Motion Pictures' much celebrated family comedy drama, Piku has kick-started the Indian film awards season by sweeping the Big Star Entertainment Awards 2015.
The film collected six awards in the following categories:
Piku, which turned out to be one of the biggest hits of 2015 and has been critically acclaimed globally, was directed by Shoojit Sircar and top lined by actors Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone and Irrfan Khan. The film has been on a winning spree since August this year, having already bagged top honours at the Indian Film Festivals of Australia, Russia and Japan.
Piku is a co-production of MSM Motion Pictures, Saraswati Entertainment and Rising Sun Films. The film was distributed worldwide by Yash Raj Films.
