Rixi Bhatia explains, “The Nehru jacket or a Bandhgala is the perfect menswear attire to look both traditional and stylish. A burnt orange jacket with off-white or ecru shirt and trousers, looks classic, sophisticated and makes a statement. You can also opt for an indigo Bandhgalawith an orange or green pocket square. The trousers can be jodhpurs for the more experimental, accessorized with leather brogues to complete the look.”
For those who don’t think saffron that is the new black, Ujjawal Dubeysuggests, “The colors of the tricolor are such that some people are reluctant to carry them together, I suggest one can dull the saffron and green a bit to tone it down. The tricolor can be paired with colors that do not make it appear bright, wear it with black or grey, and have an interesting placement.”

As we prep for this historic day, Mayank and Shraddhashare a beautiful thought, “Republic day represents the formation of our rights thus enabling men and women to dress as they want to. Our dressing has evolved immensely over the last couple of years. On this day we can see people bring out their patriotic side, donning different colors of the flag, celebrating with joy. But we don't think only one particular day should be reserved to show our love for the country. Let's do this more often!”
With this thought in mind, let 2015 be the year to flaunt ‘India made’ and handcrafted fabrics with pride.
