Captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni has announced his retirement from the Test cricket due to strain of playing all different types of crickets. Now Virat Kohli will lead the upcoming forth Test against Australia in the Sydney.
MS Dhoni has taken the retirement from the Test cricket with the immediate effect.
This socking announcement came few minutes after the test match.
"MS Dhoni has chosen to retire from Test Cricket with immediate effect," the said on its Twitter feed.
"Virat (Kohli) will be the captain for the 4th and Final Test against Australia."
MS Dhoni the Wicketkeeper-batsman will now focus on ODI and T20 cricket. Virat Kohli will lead the Indian team as captain for the final Test match against Australia in Sydney.
The news was announced by BCCI shortly after the of third Test match against Australia, Melbourne, which was lead by MS Dhoni.
BCCI statement said "BCCI while respecting the decision of M S Dhoni to retire from Test Cricket, wishes to thank him for his enormous contribution to Test Cricket and the laurels that he has brought to India."
Sachin Tendulkar twitted "well done on a wonderful career in test cricket @msdhoni. Always enjoyed playing together. Next target 2015 WC my friend!!".
