New Delhi, Mar. 21 (ANI): Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Chief Arvind Kejriwal expelled two prominent members on Friday for allegedly offering tickets to contest in the upcoming general election in exchange for bribes.
On the account of complaints received the party had initiated a probe into the alleged issue of promising party ticket to an aspirant in favour of money. Kejriwal expelled Convener of the party in Awadh, Aruna Singh and a treasurer of the party in the district of Hardoi in Uttar Pradesh.
"We could not believe it initially, then probed into the complaints we received. So, on the account of the evidence we have gathered, today we are expelling the convenor of Awadh zone, Aruna Singh and Ashok who was the treasurer of Hardoi," said Kejriwal.
Kejriwal appealed the people and media to expose the people within AAP who were corrupted. He also added that if somebody offers money to such fraudsters, it will be a complete waste of it.
"Here, money can't buy tickets, even if you give money to somebody, your money will be wasted. I f somebody asks for money from you, it is my request to you to record the person's voice using a recorder and give it us. We will not keep the person in the party more than 24 hours. We will dismiss the person expeditiously," added Kejriwal.
He cautioned the aspirants who wish to contest from AAP not to indulge in such activity.. (ANI)
