India's star tennis player Leander Paes kept country's hope alive at the US open by entering into the semifinals of Men's double along with his Czech partner Radek Stepanek.
The fourth seeded Indo-Czech duo defeated fifth-seeded Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi and Jean-Julien Rojer 6-1, 6-7, 6-4 on Tuesday.
The Paes - Stepanek pair will now face top-seeded American brothers duo Mike and Bob Bryan, who made their place into the semifinals defeating 12th-seeded British pair of Colin Fleming and Jonathan Marray 7-6 (7), 6-4.
Another hope lies with India's Sania Mirza who will face Hsieh Su-wei of Taiwan and Peng Shuai of China today along with her partner Zheng Jie of china.
