Indian Cricket's fighter star Yuvraj Singh finally made it to the list of selected players for the upcoming Australia series. The 31-year old all rounder has been selected for the only T-2o match and the first three one day international of the seven-match series against Australia.
However, openers Virender Sehwag, Gautam Gambhir and bowlers Zaheer Khan and Harbhajan Singh could not make it to the list of the team.
Other new name in team includes Ambati Rayudu, Specialist bowlers Jaydev Unadkat and Shami Ahmed. However, Irfan Khan also could not make it to the team due to poor fitness.
Yuvraj was last seen playing an ODI for the country on January 27 this year against England at Dharamsala and was dropped since then due to poor performance and fitness. But he made his come back in style by scoring 123, 40 and 61 in three List A matches against the West Indies A. Later he scored a quickfire 52 against West Indies in a T20 match.
The Twenty20 will be played in Rajkot on Oct 10, while the first three ODIs will be played in Pune (Oct 13), Jaipur (Oct 16), and Mohali (Oct 190).
