Another feat has been added to Sir Ravindra Jadeja list as he topped the latest ICC One-Day International (ODI) bowlers' ranking released on Sunday.
Jadeja is the first Indian bowler to top the chart since Anil Kumble, who remained on top of the table for 11 matches in November-December 1996.
Jadeja is sharing the No.1 spot with Sunil Narine of West Indies. He took five wickets in five matches against Zimbabwe. Jadeja is also in 2nd position in ODI Allrounder ranking.
This feat has only been achieved by 3 Indian bowlers: Kapil Dev (March 1989), Maninder Singh (December 1987-November 1988) and Kumble.
India also strengthened its No.1 spot in ODI rankings with a 5-0 series win over Zimbabwe. India has 123 points and is 9 points ahead of second placed Australia.
Leg-spinner Amit Mishra also gained position and reached 32nd position in ODI bowler ranking. He took a record 18 wickets in the recently concluded series.
Shikhar Dhawan also saw a hike in his ranking and reached 23rs spot (up by 16) in the ODI batsmen ranking.
In ICC Test Batsmen Ranking, Cheteshwar Pujara is the sole Indian batsman in top 10. The list is headed by South Africa's Hashim Amla. In the ICC Test Bowlers Ranking, Ashwin and Pragya Ojha are at 8th and 10th spot respectively. Ashwin also made it in Test Allrounder ranking at 3rd place.
Virat Kohli is at the 4th position in ICC ODI Batsmen ranking while MS Dhoni is at 7th position.
