Vin Diesel, who would be next seen in Riddick, has received 2,504th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Riddick releases on 6 September 2013.
At the ceremony he said, "I never thought it would be here in public on a corner, but I guess in some strange way, 30 years ago I made my living by dancing on corners like this with crowds smaller than this".
His co-star in Fast and Furious Michelle Rodriguez was present during the event.
Karl Urban and Katee Sackhoff will also star in the movie. Riddick is the third movie in the Riddick franchise after Pitch Black and The Chronicles of Riddick.
46-year-old Vin Diesel is best known for starring in the Fast & Furious film franchise.
Diesel made his film debut in the 1990 drama "Awakenings".
Five years later, his independent short "Mult-Facial" drew the attention of "Saving Private Ryan" helmsman Steven Spielberg, who created the role of Pvt. Adian Carparzo, a rifleman, in the Oscar winning drama for the actor.
Diesel also starred in a couple of films including "Boiler Room" (2000), "Pitch black" (2000), action thriller "xXx" (2002) and "Fast & Furious" series.
He will also reprise the role of Dominic Toretto in Fast & Furious 7, which will be released in July 2014.
