Director Vikramaditya Motwane with the release of 'Lootera' has once again proved that he posses everything to be applauded and it was not just 'Udaan' but this time also he has proven his excellence in film-making with an outstanding presentation of love, passion, betrayal and compassion.
Yes, Lootera starring Ranveer Singh and Sonakshi Sinha in the lead roles has everything to be praised, which evokes your emotions with its audacious sensitivity and compelling intensity of emotions that will simply leave you overwhelmed.
Lootera takes you to serene love story of 1953, where archeologist Varun (Ranveer Singh) visits a small village Manikpur in West Bengal to seek permission with the landlord of the village for digging up a mysterious civilization, which he says is buried around a temple in the village. Pakhi ( Sonakshi Sinha), is a beautiful and adorable daughter of the Zamindaar who is the proud of her daughter.
Then starts the story of heartbreak, grudge, betrayal and redemption that will certainly leave you cold-hearted or silent. Ranveer playing a role with a negative shade is amazing and flawless, while Sonakshi as a heartbroken lover is awesome in portraying the bleeding loneliness of missing love with fearless integrity.
Director Motwane after 'Udaan' have moved a step ahead in Lootera with excellent direction, who has created the magic of 50's beautifully with vintage cars, lavish havelis, appropriate costumes, great visual effects and lastly tremendous performances from his lead cast. Moreover, the music of the movie is also great so full marks to music-director Amit Trivedi.
