Direction: Vikramaditya Motwane

Release date: July 5, 2013

Udaan fame Vikramaditya Motwane's directorial 'Lootera' starring Ranveer Singh and Sonakshi Sinha in the lead roles is all set to release this Friday on July 5 to bring the magic of intrinsic romance to the audiences at the end of this summer and has already created great expectations due to the success and difference of Motwane's earlier venture 'Udaan', which was acclaimed critically and won him many awards and accolades.

Lootera is the story of an archeologist Varun (Ranveer Singh) and the beautiful and profound girl Pakhi ( Sonakshi Sinha), who is the daughter of Manikpur's Zamindaar in West Bengal. The story will take you to 1953, when Varun visits Manikpur to get permission from the landlord to dig up a mysterious civilization, which he says is buried around a temple in the village.

As the work progresses, Varun with his great knowledge and experience and cordial behavior impress the Zamindaar and his family and most importantly his only daughter 'Pakhi' and then love start to blossom in between them, which seems eternal and never-lasting until a thunder storms their flawless loving life and Varun is forced to choose between Pakhi and his past.

After that Varun leaves Manikpur and the romantic love saga now turns into a thriller with lots of twists and turns in the story making it the story of heartbreak, grudge, betrayal and redemption that will certainly leave you cold-hearted or silent.

Ranveer is great with his performance as gruesome and implacable character who betrays his love and hers father's trust but still intact. Sonakshi as a heartbroken lover is again excellent in portraying the bleeding loneliness of missing love with fearless integrity. It can be inferred that Sonakshi as Pakhi is the best so far.

Director Motwane after 'Udaan' have moved a step further in Lootera with excellent direction, who has created the magic of 50's beautifully with vintage cars, lavish havelis, appropriate costumes, great visual effects and lastly tremendous performances from his lead cast. Moreover, the music of the movie is also great so full marks to music-director Amit Trivedi.

So, watch out for Lootera to unveil the love that ends as a thriller. All the best…..
