In the third match of ongoing Celkon Mobile Cup one-day international on Tuesday, Upul Tharanga’s flamboyant 174 off 159 balls and Mahela Jayawardene’s brilliant 107 helped Sri Lanka beat India by 161 runs big margin. Later, skipper Angelo Mathews made smashed a quick 44 to take his country to a handsome total of 348.

The Indian side never played like Champions as no one could stand for long with Ravindra Jadeja remained top-scorer with an unbeaten 49 followed by Suresh Raina (33), Murali Vijay (30), Shikhar Dhawan (24) and Dinesh Karthik (22). The Indian team became all out for just 187 in 44.5 overs.

Though, wicket-keeper Dinesh Karthik and Raina tried to balance score by adding 53 runs off 63 balls for the fitth wicket before Karthik departed, stumped by Kumar Sangakkara in the 29th over.

After that, no Indian batsman could stand for long that lead to a biggest loss for the Indian side in last few months.
