In the recently ended Comic Con, the biggest announcement came when Warner Bros. Studio revealed that they are planning to unite Superman and Batman in their next movie. Director Zack Snyder will be the director of the movie.
This will be the first time that the two superheroes will share the big screen.
Snyder is co-writing the story with David S. Goyer, who will then pen the screenplay. The movie is set to begin production in 2014 and will release in 2015.
Snyder released a statement that read, "I'm so excited to begin working again with Henry Cavill in the world we created, and I can't wait to expand the DC Universe in this next chapter. Let's face it, it's beyond mythological to have Superman and our new Batman facing off, since they are the greatest Super Heroes in the world".
At the end of Man of Steel there were few “things” that pointed out that there will be a union in the upcoming films.
Superman and Batman are the comic characters of DC comics that were in the same world (Avengers exist in different world).
Superman character was created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, and Batman character was created by Bob Kane.
Snyder-directed “Man of Steel” earned more than $630 million at the worldwide box office to date.
But Christopher Nolan has declined to return as Batman hence we will have to wait and see who will be the new Batman. Henry Cavill will return as Superman.
