Story:
D-Day being a thriller, telling the complete story here will spoil the fun. However, a little brief is provided.
Wali Khan has been sent to Pakistan 9 years-ago to track one of the India’s Most Wanted Criminal Goldman. He now lives there with a wife and son.
When a perfect situation arises RAW sends a team of ex-military Captain Rudra Pratap Singh, explosives expert Zoya Rehman and a street thug Akash Dahiya to assist Wali in bringing Goldman back to India.
The abduction of Wali has to be made when he attends his son’s wedding, a situation where his security is most vulnerable.
In Pakistan, Rudra also meets sex-worker Suraiya and as both have so much in common, they feel comfortable with each other.
Do all of them accomplish the task assigned to them or they fail? What happens to Wali and his family, what happens to the story of Rudra and Suraiya? To know all the answers go watch D-Day in your nearest theatre.
Review:
D-Day is a complete mixture of love and thrill. This film has action, love scenes, emotion of a father who has to choose between his son and duty, emotions of a scarred face sex-worker, political games within RAW and ISI.
Nikhil has perfectly handled the film and the stars. Places in Pakistan are perfectly picturised.
Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy have given superb music that matches with the tone of the film.
One wonders what Rishi Kapoor can’t do. He can make you laugh, he can make you hate him and he can make you love him. Rishi is a gem and star of the movie.
Irrfan like always is superb with his acting and viewers would feel connected with his character.
Arjun has improved a lot. His acting has become better with each new movie. Huma and others have also played their part well.
Overall the movie is a must-watch movie.
