The first super star of the century Rajesh Khanna and the king of romance Yash Chopra will be honoured with Dadasaheb Phalke Award for their outstanding contribution in Indian Cinema. Late Khana would be honored with superstar of Indian cinema award, while late Yash Chopra will be conferred with the Dadasaheb Phalke Academy Award.
In addition to that other eminent personalities to receive the awards include legendary playback singer Asha Bhosle, Akshay Kumar, Manoj Bajpai, Irfan Khan and many others.
Living legend Asha Bhosle will be honored with the Phalke Ratna Award for her continuious contribution in the field of music for last five decades, while Irfab Khan will get Phalke Memorable Performance Award for 'Paan Singh Tomar'. Manoj Bajpai will receive the Excellent Performance award for his realistic performance in Manoj Bajpai for Excellent Performance award. Bollywood Khiladi Akshay Kumar will be awarded with the Best Actor award for 'Rowdy Rathore', while her mother-in-law Dimple Kapadia will get the Phalke Ever Memorable actor award.
Govinda will get the the Phalke Versatile Actor award and debutant Arjun Kapoor will be presented with Phalke Debut Actor Award. Himesh Reshamiya will be honoured with the Phalke Best Supporting Actor Award for Khiladi 786.
Prem Chopra will be presented the Phalke senior actor for negative role Award and Mala Sinha would receive the Phalke Icon Cine Artiste Award. TV actors Disha Vakani and Dilip Joshi will get the best TV actor and actress in small screen category for comedy show Tarak Mehta Ka Ulta Chashma.
Like every year the 13th Dadasaheb Phalke Academy Awards function would be held in Mumbai on April 30 to celebrate Dada Saheb Phalke Jayanti where many eminent and senior bollywood stars would be present on the occasion.
