The term obesity and overweight both are related to the condition of the body in which excess of weight does matter. Both the terms obesity and overweight clearly is the stage of the excess of fats in the body and the results appears on the body due to the excessive of fat. Today obesity and overweight has become a major threat for us and the growing trends are likely to create more troubles for our coming generation.
According to World Health Organization (WHO) report, today worldwide obesity has nearly doubled since 1980. In 2008, more than 1.4 billion adults, 20 and older, were overweight and of these over 200 million men and nearly 300 million women were obese.
It is shocking that 65% of the world's population live in countries where overweight and obesity kills more people than underweight
Obesity is the physical condition, which witnesses the excessive deposition and storage of fat, which is more than normal amount. Certainly it is the condition of the being obese means excessive amount of fat and it is difficult to carry the excessive fat for the concerned person.
Whereas overweight is that condition where the concerned person achieves more weight which should be normal condition for him. In the other words, there is a certain amount of weight in accordance with height, age and sex but in the overweight condition, the amount cross the normal limit for any individual.
Causes for obesity and overweight: There are various reasons behind the condition of obesity and overweight and eating disorder in any individual. Overeating is one of the major causes for the same, which is the main factor behind the accumulation of extra fats in our body.
Apart from this, sedentary lifestyle is another major cause for the obesity and overweight. One of the major cause for the obesity and overweight is the no exercise for the individual which allow the accumulation of extra fats in our body.
Social and change in lifestyle, hormonal imbalance and genetic disorders and conditions are also responsible for the obesity and overweight disorders.
