Johnny Depp has been confirmed to play The Mad Hatter in 'Alice In Wonderland 2', a sequel of 2010 hit Alice In Wonderland.
Mia Wasikowska will also reprise her role as Alice in the film. Rest of the cast will be revealed soon.
Director James Bobin (The Muppets fame) has been roped in for the sequel. Alice In Wonderland was directed by Tim Burton.
Joe Roth, Jennifer Todd and Suzanne Todd will produce the movie.
Alice In Wonderland 2 is scheduled for a May 27, 2016 release.
It's prequel was a hit worldwide and grossed a total of $1.02 billion in 2010.
